2016-08-26 to Caquiaviri, rough washboard road. 66 km. Only one hostel, very basic. Two restaurants.

2016-08-29 to Chanara, Bolivian boarder town. another headwind day, wind started at 10am, very cold all day. 31km in 3:31

2016-08-30 through border, gave up veggies to Chile customs, no Chilean pesos to purchase anything else. Turned onto bitumen road along boarder. 65km, 4:36 road side camp, very cold.

2016-08-31 continue rolling to Putre, headwind started about 12, had to push over a pass, and then peddle down hill to get anywhere. Dropped 800m in 30km.
